Rice Pudding Recipe

Ingredients for preparing Rice Pudding

  • Rice   -  ½   cup
  • Water  -   1 cup
  • Milk  -  1 cup
  • Whipping Cream  -  ½  cup
  • Sugar  -   ½  cup
  • Coconut Milk  -  1  cup
  • Cardamom Powder  -  ½  tsp
  • Almonds  -  25 g

Steps for preparing Rice Pudding

  1. Cook the rice by adding water over medium heat. When water is absorbed, add the milk and cream. Simmer and cook for about half an hour, make sure that the rice mixture attains a thick consistency.
  2. Mix the cooked rice mixture with sugar, coconut milk, cardamom seeds powder and half of the chopped nuts, stir well and simmer for a while.
  3. Once the mixture begins to thicken again, remove from the fire and garnish with the remaining nuts.
  4. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
