Fish Fried RiceIngredients for preparing Fish Fried Rice

  • Fish : boneless  -     ½   Kg
  • Rice : washed  -   2 ½   cups
  • Onion: chopped   -  2  nos.
  • Ginger   -   1  piece
  • Garlic    -   4  cloves
  • Pepper Powder   -  1  tsp
  • Spring Onion: sliced  -   2  stalks
  • Capsicum: sliced   -   1  cup
  • Celery : chopped  -    ½   cup
  • Carrot: chopped   -    ¼ cup
  • Soya Sauce  -   2  tsp
  • Chilli Sauce  -   2  tsp
  • Corn Flour  -   2  tsp
  • Oil   -   ½   cup
  • Salt to taste   -  ½  tsp

Steps for preparing Fish Fried Rice

  1. Soak the rice in water for 15 to 20 minutes. After that drain the water and keep aside.
  2. Pressure cook the rice with 5 cups water and little salt till it is done.
  3. Cut fish in to small pieces; then marinate with soya sauce, salt, pepper powder and a paste of corn flour and water for half an hour.
  4. Fry the marinated fish pieces till done. Remove the excess oil and keep it aside.
  5. In the remaining oil add garlic and ginger and fry for few minutes till the raw smell disappears.
  6. Add onion and saute well followed by the remaining chopped vegetables.
  7. Once the vegetables are almost cooked, add soya sauce, chilli sauce and fried fish; stir fry for a minute.
  8. Now add cooked rice and combine with the gravy. Simmer for 2 minutes. Fish rice is ready.
  9. Serve hot with raitha and pickle.
