Egg RiceIngredients for preparing Egg Rice

  • Basmati Rice  -   2  cups
  • Egg  -  2 nos.
  • Cinnamon   -   2  pieces
  • Cloves   -   3  nos.
  • Cardamom Seeds   -  4   nos.
  • Onion: chopped  -  2  cups
  • Ginger paste   -   1  tbsp
  • Green Chillies: chopped   -   3  nos.
  • Pepper Powder   -   1  tsp
  • Ghee   -   3  tbsp
  • Coriander Leaves: chopped  -  2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste  -  ½  tsp
  • Oil  -  2 tbsp

Steps for preparing Egg Rice

  1. Wash and drain the rice.
  2. Fry the drained rice in ghee, and cook it by adding hot water and salt on low flame. When it is done, turn off the stove and keep aside.
  3. Heat 1 table spoon oil in a pan, fry cinnamon, cloves and cardamom .Keep it aside.
  4. In the remaining oil fry chopped onion till golden brown. Then add ginger paste and chopped green chillies. Saute well and remove from the stove.
  5. Beat the egg well and mix with the pepper powder and salt.
  6. Heat oil in a wok, pour the beaten egg mixture and stir fry.
  7. Mix the cooked rice with fried spices, sautéed mixture and egg mixture. Keep stirring on low flame for few minutes.
  8. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with best combinations.
